HOME MEET this Thursday vs. AAC!

Good afternoon Mustang Families!

We are getting ready for our first home meet of the year, this Thursday vs. Atlanta Athletic Club.  This week we ask that you please declare your swimmers as either attending or not attending TODAY.  Meet declarations will close tomorrow, Tuesday Jun 6th, at 1:00PM.  You can declare your swimmers by visiting the Signup Calendar and clicking on Meet Entry to the right of the meet heading:  Signup CalendarANY SWIMMERS NOT DECLARED BY THE CLOSE OF MEET ENTRIES WILL BE ASSUMED NOT TO BE ATTENDING AND WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN ANY EVENTS.

We also need everyone to volunteer their time to help us execute every swim meet.  We can't do it without you, so please sign up!  Volunteer signups are located next to Meet Entry for each meet on the Signup Calendar.  If you'd like to see who has already volunteered for a position, you can hover your mouse pointer/cursor over the numbers in the "Filled" column, i.e. (1/5) and the names of those who have volunteered for that role will appear.

We have an updated role for home meets this year, we have replaced our outdated manual flip-style sign that indicates the current event number, with an LED display with large numbers that are easy to see.  We need one or two volunteers to simply press the "up" button on the remote control after each event.

For home meets we will have the pool first for warmups, at 4:30pm.  Please arrive to the Athletic Center in time to have your swimmers ready to be in the pool at that time.

The parking lot tends to fill up quickly, and we have one home ALTA tennis match Thursday evening so some spaces will be reserved for them.  If the parking lot is full, limited parking is available in the Course Maintenance area (please do not block others in) and then on the golf course side of Steeplechase Lane.  Please do not park on the side with the houses or in the roundabout at the entrance to Brookside.  We will have parking attendants, signs, and cones out to assist.

For home meets, our bullpens will be located at the tables between the main pool and the kids' pool.  Our visiting opponents will have the other side of the pool.  Cabanas and the kids' pool should not be used during meets, please help us keep children out of those areas.  Many areas will be blocked or roped off, please adhere to any blockades or signage.

We will have food and drinks available, including burgers, hot dogs, mac & cheese, and chicken tenders.  HBCC Members may charge to their Club account, visitors will be cash only.  Please follow signage to help you find the appropriate line for Members.  A separate bar will be setup on the pathway to the Adult Pool for alcoholic beverages.

It's looking like the potential rain for Thursday is going to move out in the morning, so we should have another great day for a swim meet!

Go Mustangs!
